*** POOL CLOSED *** Both pools will be closed from 3pm* on Saturday Sept 11th (due to home swimming galas).

The swimming facilities consist of: 25 Metre, 6 six lane main pool, learner pool, village-style changing rooms, disabled changing, family and individual changing cubicles, communal and disabled showers and toilets. Lockers are £1 coin return.

Admissions Policy

** Maximum Swimmers ** This is set at 90 people. During busy periods a band system will be introduced to ensure customers have at least 45 minutes in the pool.

** At Risk Users** The Child Admission Policy helps safeguard users of the pool who are at risk of drowning in swimming pools. Mainly, child drownings are due to the absence of parental attention.

** Children under 8 ** All children under 8 must be supervised at all times by having an adult in the water with them. An adult is a person aged 16 years or older.

** Supervision ages ** Main pool: 1 adult can supervise 1 child aged 4 or under, or 2 children aged between 5 and 7 years old. Learner pool: 1 adult can supervise 2 children aged 8 years and younger.

At Driffield Leisure Centre, we provide a comprehensive swimming lesson programme. Our qualified and experienced instructors are expert at delivering the right level to suit swimmers of all ages.

Please complete a Learn to Swim aplication form available from Reception, your information will then be placed onto the appropriate waiting list.

Re-enrolments take place every 10 weeks and all free places are offered to customers on the waiting lists. Payment must be made to secure your place in the lessons.

Adult Lessons

Its never too late to learn!

Learn to swim in a relaxed environment. Our Instructors are fully qualified and experienced with plenty of patience. Classes are run on Monday between 11:25am and 12:25pm and on a Thursday evening from 9:00pm to 10:00pm. The classes are of mixed ability and the Instructor attends to every pupil giving individual and group tuition. Whether you are a non-swimmer or you just want to feel safe swimming in deep water, our Instructors can help. These lessons are run in blocks of 10 weeks at a cost of £45.00, please ring reception if any more information is required.

One to One Lessons

Driffield Leisure Centre offers one to one swimming lessons, which are ideal for any adult or child who lacks confidence or who would just benefit from individual instruction. The teacher is able to assist in the water if they feel that the pupil would benefit from the extra support and confidence this gives. The price for a one to one swimming lesson is £17.50.
